Wild Chase by Franz von Stuck
Wild Chase by Franz von Stuck

Deo Vindici is about the life and times of Confederate General Earl van Dorn, Commander of the Confederate Army of Mississippi, who was assassinated just before the second Campaign on Vicksburg by the North. Although van Dorn was a very controversial character in the South, I show that his allegedly flawed military campaigns were actually brilliant stragetic victories that only appeared to fail because of Command Influence by his superiors. Earl van Dorn's actions on the battle field so skewed the whole Yankee battle plan that they were forced to free the slaves just to gain a strategic and tactical advantage.

Even after that, just sitting chained behind a desk in Tennessee, Earl van Dorn still terrified the North by the mere potential of his daring exploits. TheYankees couldn't rest until he was dead and buried. Little did they realize, that van Dorn was never really killed by the "jealous doctor" at all. Now you can read about General Earl van Dorn's most dramatic scheme of all, and how it saved the Southern people from total extinction...
